Rachel Dubois

Psychology Resident

Dr. Dubois obtained a Doctorate in Counseling Psychology from Felician University and a Master of Social Work from Rutgers University. She has worked in various treatment settings, including child welfare, community mental health centers, and school-based mental health. While completing her internship at the New Mexico Behavioral Health Institute, she gained experience working with adult psychiatric populations, forensic psychology, and long-term care units, including work with Native Americans. This diverse background reflects her versatility, cultural competence, and dedication to providing comprehensive care.


Dr. Dubois has provided services to individuals and families at every developmental stage, from pre-teens and adolescents to older adults. Her experience lies in working with ADHD, anxiety, depression, grief, trauma and post-traumatic stress, and substance abuse treatment and recovery. Dr. Dubois has a longstanding commitment to supporting BIPOC communities through her work.

Dr. Dubois' therapeutic approach is centered on creating a secure and supportive environment that promotes cooperative progress toward personal development, healing, and overall well-being. She utilizes evidence-based techniques, specifically Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Recognizing the holistic nature of health, she views the interconnectedness
of mental, emotional, and other life aspects as essential to the collaborative therapeutic process.

 

Dr. Dubois is devoted to assisting her clients on their journey through mental health treatment, matching their efforts with her dedication every step of the way. She seeks to facilitate meaningful change with clients and help them strengthen their connections with themselves and others. Her goal is to explore these connections with her clients to enhance their journey toward a healthier, integrated life.
