She possesses a solid academic background that includes a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from Rutgers University School of Social Work in Camden, New Jersey, and a Master of Education in Human Development and Professional Counseling from Lindsey Wilson College's School of Professional Counseling.
Ms. Torres has cultivated a robust professional foundation through extensive work across various sectors of mental health and human services. She has experience with mental health case management which has allowed her to collaborate with clients and community resources. This informed her understanding of and her emphasis on the blend of both environmental factors and human needs to help clients achieve balance and improved quality of life. Additionally, her experience with substance use populations has sharpened her skills in
addressing addiction's complexities, emphasizing the need for integrated mental health and substance use treatment.
Ms. Torres enhances her practice through her personal life experiences and cultural diversity, which contribute to a nuanced and empathetic approach to counseling.
